Solar heating systems can be used for domestic water heating, swimming pool heating or both. They can be easily integrated with traditional heating technologies and other renewable energy systems. They offer a simple way to improve a building’s energy performance in order to meet regulatory standards or to achieve energy and carbon dioxide saving targets.
Grants
Non-Profit Community Organisations: When installing a solar hot water system you may be able to claim a 50% (up to £200,000) grant through the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2 Extended (LCBP2E) scheme.
It may also be possible to claim an additional 50% (up to £50,000) grant through the Community Sustainable Energy Programme (CSEP).
Applications are quite involved and there is no guarantee you will be awarded a grant. We can assist you through the application process.
