Exhaust Air Heat Recovery Pumps

Heat recovery pumps work best when designed into a dwelling from the initial concept stage. For this reason they are chiefly utilized in extremely well insulated new build projects, especially in apartments or where it is impractical to open windows (such as near airports or main roads or railway lines). In any of these circumstances Heat recovery pumps are one of the most cost effective and ecologically efficient ways of providing heat.  In these situations where controlled ventilation is possible the heat recovery pump reuses the energy from exhaust air, heat from lighting, domestic appliances, televisions, showers and baths indeed even us the inhabitants of the dwelling. The heat recovered is then treated in a similar fashion as with a GSHP to provide heating and hot water.
